Microsoft, Yahoo Instant-Message cross talk

Microsoft and Yahoo have announced today that users of MSN Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger would be able to communicate directly including using VOIP.
Exciting by itself, true. But more importantly this represents a change of thinking in Microsoft. Hopefully this marks the first time in the 21st century when Microsoft is back thinking like a hungry company rather than a fat slow-moving mogul.
