Indian Dal Recipe

Extremely quick and easy to prepare India Dal. The most basic Indian dish is rice dal. You would usually want to add some subzee along, or a good'old palak paneer. Until then, gran your dal:
Ingredients
- red lentils (200 grams)
- 4 garlic claws
- 2 medium size tomatoes
- tumeric seeds
- cumin seeds
- dried red chilli (or red chilli paste)
- 1 onion
- Yogurt
- Gee (or butter) about 200 gram
Preparation
- Dice onion and add to hot pan with sizzling butter
- add diced tomatoes
- add a handful of cumin, tumeric and mix well
- add the lentils and peeled garlic claws
- cover with water
- bring to boil
- lower flame, cook for additional 30 minutes on small flame, until lentils are tender
serve with rice and yogurt
